This will be the first game for both teams since they were in action on Christmas Day. Despite having their five-game winning streak snapped at the hands of the defending champs on Christmas, the NBA betting odds list the Warriors as a short home favorite for tonight’s contest.

Even in the absence of Draymond Green, the Warriors have been playing good basketball. Along with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, Golden State has been getting ample contributions from young players such as Jonathan Kuminga and rookie, Brandin Podziemski. The fact that the recent winning streak has left the Warriors sitting 11th in the Western Conference with a .500 record sheds some light on how poorly this team started the season.

Meanwhile, the Heat have managed to win three consecutive games in their own right despite being without Jimmy Butler. He has made it up to the questionable line ahead of Thursday’s contest as he continues to work back from a calf injury.

Butler’s presence would benefit the Heat in this road matchup, but beating the Warriors in their building is never easy. That said, Bam Adebayo could be a real matchup issue for the Dubs inside. If rookie Jaime Jacquez can have another performance similar to his Christmas Day outburst, Miami will be a very live underdog in this spot.

Our NBA betting Heat vs Warriors prediction tonight will be Heat +3.5 at BetUS.

For what it’s worth, the ESPN Matchup Predictor gives Golden State a 56.7% chance to win this game outright.
