High school football: Previews and predictions for Thursday's Week 8 games
The Thursday schedule is light with just two games. San Pedro and Lawndale will try to remain undefeated in the Marine League and the Pioneer League.
San Pedro (7-0, 1-1) and Carson (4-4,1-2) are playing each other at L.A. Harbor College on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. San Pedro has recorded consecutive shutouts against Carson. Carson won its league opener against Banning 40-14 and last week it beat Narbonne 46-7.
South Torrance (3-4, 0-2) and Lawndale (2-0) are playing each other on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Hawthorne HS. South Torrence has lost its first two games by a combined score of 101-20. Lawdale has won both of its games this season.
