Honda's odds-on 2023 signing should already be on the bike

Marc Marquez is Honda's future world champion. Joan Mir's 2021 season was a good one. Mir is not ready to ride for Honda for health reasons. He is riding a dead-end project for a project. He finished third in the MotoGP standings last year. His 2022 season is a waste of time. The team needs to focus on developing the RC213V. It is barely a Q2 bike at the moment. Stefan Bradl is the only rider who can ride it.

Mir crashed at Silverstone. Mir is 13th in the standings after 12 races. He is keen to stay with Suzuki for the next two years. Mir was ready to re-commit to Suzuki until the team pulled the plug. Honda's odds-on 2023 signing should already be on the bike.

Mir is considering a move to Honda for the 2022 MotoGP season. He is not happy with his current situation at Suzuki. Mir and Honda are negotiating a deal for 2023. He hopes to have news soon. If not, he will be at home. Maverick Vinales is still considering Aprilia. Pol Espargaro is already a Honda rider. Honda’s incumbent Pol has already committed to Tech3 KTM. The deal between Honda and Mir is complicated. It is difficult for both parties. They are each other's only options. There are no real alternatives for either side.
