Horse racing predictions: Ayr and Newbury

Ayr and Newbury take centre stage this Saturday. ITV cameras are at both racecourses. The broadcast is on air on ITV4 between 1.10 and 4.00 pm.

Enda McElhinney has recommendations for all nine races on Saturday.

KOY KOy has been in good form since moving to George Boughey's yard earlier this season. He won over this distance at Newmarket back in July. Jim Crowley has booked for the ride and the pair have a great chance of landing the opener.

Adam Kirby has chosen SISKANY to partner in the Dubai Duty Free Legacy Cup Stakes at Newbury. Godolphin are represented by three horses in this race.

Ayr and Newbury are going to meet in the Doonside Cup Stakes. PHANTOM FLIGHT has been in excellent form this year and deserves to step up to Listed company.

Mebabah didn't do well at Goodwood last time out. He has since won at Hamilton and Sandown and finished second to Raasel in a Group 3 race at Sandow. Newbury's runner should be taken to bounce back on his drop down in grade.

2.30 Ayr – Virgin Bet AYR Silver Cup Handicap (6f). EMPEROR SPIRIT is in the perfect position in stall one. Archie Watson's runner has finished second off this mark twice this season.

Sakheer has an entry in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes later this month. Roger Varian's runner won at Haydock by six lengths this week.

Kevin Ryan’s filly QUEEN ME has done little wrong so far in her career. She got off the mark at the first attempt at Haydock and finished second in a Group 3 contest over the same trip at York. This is an easier assignment for her.

3.25 Newbury – Dubai Duty Free Handicap (1m 2f) is a Class 2 handicap. Warren Point has only suffered one defeat in his career. Charlie Appleby’s runner has been put up 8lb in the official ratings.

Khanjar has won two of his three appearances since being gelded at the end of last year. He finished strongly at Haydock last time out to score by two lengths. William Haggas's runner has a 5lb penalty on his back for his latest success.

Telegraph Betting hosts racecards for every meeting every day. Khanjar is 4/1 with Paddy Power.
