Lily Glitters won really well last time out and wasn’t stopping close home as she motored up the final straight. She carried 11st 13lb that day and although up in grade today carries 8lbs less. She’s twice won over course and distance and the ground looks absolutely perfect for her, it’s going to be very difficult to see her out the frame if in the same mood.

Tipman Selection – Java Point
3 points win

A trappy little race this one but I do think Java Point is worth some interest if able to ignore the effort last time out.

Generally been running up in grade and running with plenty of credit but drops back down to a class 3 today which is a level he rattled off a double and has a 67% win percentage in.

Twice a course winner and twice a winner over todays distance, everything points towards a good run with ground also massively in his favour today. If that last run in a class 1 was just a blip he’s the one they have to beat here.

Newcastle 15:10

Tipman Selection – Zealot
3 points win

A bit of a shorty here but he’s well deserving of his price imo. Looked to really relish the step up in trip LTO over course and distance when cruising through the field to win going away and I don’t think he’s finished improving yet.

Billy Loughnane is back from a stint in America after riding this horse to success last time out and will be looking to make it 2 on the trot for Mick Appleby. Horse will need to improve again based on the rise in class but he looks like he’s got plenty left and should be difficult to beat here.
