Tipman Tips use a points system to track profit and loss. To calculate your point value, simply divide your monthly budget into 100 points, it can be done with any budget and any value, for example:

* £50 Monthly Budget – 50p Point Value
*£100 Monthly Budget – £1 Point Value
* £200 Monthly Budget – £2 Point Value

So, in practice:

12:50 – Royal Ascot
Red Rum 5/1 – 1.5 points each-way (3pts total)

If you had a budget of £200 you would place £3 each-way on the example selection above (£6 total)

Tipman Selection – Fuji Rocks
1.5 points each way

Fuji Rocks was the subject of a very head scratching ride last time out. He sat off out the back and made eye catching progress on the bridle before the jockey seemed to not even ask any questions and give the horse zero help. If he’s given more of a chance, he could absolutely blow these away.

Tipman Selection – Jasmiwa
3 points win

Jasmiwa was a winner over 3m on soft ground at Ffos Las late last year but was unable to repeat that win when up 7lbs at Hereford on good ground when finishing fourth. Today’s test should be much more up his street though and he can pick these up late on.

Tipman Selection – Fire Dancer
3 points win

Fire Dancer won over course and distance on his penultimate start in his first run for over 800 days having been brought over from France. He went very nicely and jumped well throughout and won well despite weakening in the latter stages, which is not surprising after his long absence. He couldn’t follow it up the next time out up in grade but he is back down to a grade he can shine in.

Tipman Selection – The Questioner
3 points win

The Questioner was pulled out of a much tougher race at Haydock yesterday for this four horse race at Sedgefield, which should tell you everything you need to know about connections’ opinions. He should be winning a race of this nature anyway and the ease in grade should be enough to see him home in front.

Tipman Selection – Weavers Answer
1.5 points each way

Weavers Answer ran an absolute cracker two starts ago on soft ground when stepping up to over 2m for the first time. He looks the type who should really appreciate the step up in trip and will handle the testing conditions. He should be bang in contention at the weights.

Tipman Selection – Rock Of Star
1.5 points each way

Rock Of Star is still lightly raced and retains plenty of room for improvement over fences. He was a little unlucky in a couple of races, unseating the rider in one and on his chase debut he was staying on to be placed but fell two out. His best run came on his second chase start back in December when 4th and the form from that run has worked out pretty well. He has a 6lb lower mark and he’s running in a lower grade. He’s proven on testing ground and unexposed over this trip so there is a lot to like about his chances.

Tipman Selection – Trac
3 points win

Trac is in a really imposing vein of form and it’s very difficult to oppose this six-year-old who keeps improving. He won very cosily last time out by 5l and he has been raised 7lbs for that effort. He could have carried an extra 10lbs that day and still won so he looks well treated. He’s versatile ground wise and has course form. This small runner field should pose no issues and he should be able to rattle off a hat-trick.
