This is likely to be a very informative maiden with newcomers Comic Book, Ezeliya and Whisper A Prayer all entered in autumn Group 1s. A strong case can be made for both Ballydoyle-trained fillies with Mayfair likely to come on a bundle from her debut at Galway but CONTENT, too free when strongly fancied at Royal Ascot, is the stable-selected on riding arrangements and looked a promising type over C&D on her first outing.

Of those with experience, Dundalk third Making Time is probably the pick ahead of Alpha Cephei. This may well go to a newcomer, though, and maybe OCEAN ODYSSEY can score for his in-form yard. The Group 2 entry of Gesture catches the eye and he’s another first-timer to note along with Ciao For Now.

At the top of the handicap, a decent enough standard is set by On Our Radar and Saturn Seven, while recent Curragh winner Goldmoyne is going the right way. A sporting selection though goes to LAW LADY who ran better than her finishing position here last time and the trainer does well here.

An open contest and plenty of them coming into the race in form. Lady Arwen should have more improvement in her, while the consistent Furnace Creek should go well again. Invincible Larne should be a factor back on good ground, and Ferrybank can also go close if repeating his C&D form. It might be worth giving another chance to the frustrating HALF NUTZ, unlucky here last week and with a good draw for a hold-up horse.

A really intriguing renewal of this contest, and no more intriguing runner than winter Derby fancy Alexandroupolis, tackling the trip and good ground for the first time. Etna Rosso has performed well at this level, while Harbour Wind looks like he will be able to do so. The unbeaten WALTHAM (nap) in two runs here has looked an exciting young stayer and he can make the step up.

A very winnable maiden and the likes of Pivotal Revive, Highland Rahy and even Alexander John all have cases to be made for them. The vote goes to WALSINGHAM, whose form is respectable and the stable could hardly be in better form.

You could make a case for more than half of these but ADELAISE is on a mark she can win off and maybe Wayne Hassett’s claim can help to get her over the line in front. Helpmeout goes well here and can contend along with Arch Enemy and Fratas who both performed well at Galway.
