Horse racing tips: Best bets with Shayne O’Cass for Monday

Racing on Monday at Tamworth and Murwillumbah. Wet tracks expected. A lightly raced gelding is shaping as the best of the day across the two NSW venues.

Gunfighter has run three races without placings and caught the eye at his first for Gavin Groth at Scone.

Been in red hot form of late with two wins and a second from his last three starts.

Shayne O'Cass gives his best bets for Monday's horse racing.

Grant Buckley is the favourite to win the TAB Jockeys challenge. The form is complete with thoroughbred form.

Captain Underpantz is the local trained son of Savabeel in the race.

Lampkin Lane is in a purple patch of form and is the one to beat in Race 4 No. 3 on Monday.

Thieve is a Rodney Northam trained gelding with only nine starts under his belt. Thieve won his first-up race at home at Scone. Bucko sticks. Apache Red and Sabie Park are also in the race.

Briefly has some compelling numbers. Testa Rossa mare has won three of ten starts at home and been runner-up twice. Aytobe is probably the best horse in the race. Amicus Curiae wouldn't want it too wet but has the talent. Morgenstern is a good fresh horse.

Reveal The Magic and Casino Lord are similar in their racing style. Appalachian is getting close. Sue Grills trained gelding won the Town Plate here on September 4 on a Heavy 9.

Sapello is a Cody Morgan trained son of More Than Ready. Sapella was fourth in a Class 1 race on September 26. Distant Secret is the biggest danger for Sapesolo. Light Up My World would take beating here. Star Impact has done a lot right and handles the slop.

Lampkin Lane has been in fabulous form this whole campaign. He came up from Victoria to Shane Everson’s stables at Grafton. The son of Savabeel likes to get back and be saved for one run at them.

Mirror One has placed at six of his 10 starts. No Love Lost is a Gold Coast housed son of Your Song. That's My Opinion is open to a good deal of improvement on his first-up run.

Adelaide Fever is a grand-dam of Millrich. Bochkareva is the half sister to Jal Lei. Lady Falvelon is one of only nine foals from the mighty Falvello's 16th crop.

Adelita Rose is another of the Falvelon offspring headed to Murwillumbah on Monday. Look A’like had finished second seven times in 15 starts before his first win at the same venue. Dimitri is a better horse than his strike-rate/C.V would suggest. Star Of Shalaa is now two from three at this trip.
