Horse racing: Trainer mighty 'Murray' calling it quits at Easter

Murray Baker, 75, is retiring from training on April 30. He has trained 56 group one winners in New Zealand and 22 in Australia. Andrew Forsman will take over the training. The Chosen One won the Thorndon at Trentham last Saturday. The ATC Derby has been won by Baker five times in the last nine years. Dundeel was the best horse he has had. Bonneval is the second best. Baker has training for 43 years and is going to enjoy it. His second knee operation is just eight weeks old. It's three months of early morning starts left.
