How to bet the Duke's Mayo Bowl, Gator Bowl, Orange Bowl

Friday is one of the busiest days of bowl season. There are five games on the schedule.

No. 23 North Carolina State is playing Maryland in the Orange Bowl. The Wolfpack (8-4) began the season ranked 13th, its highest preseason ranking since 1975. Maryland (7-5) lost at least five games for the 11th straight season.

Maryland's wide receivers, tight end, cornerback and linebacker are leaving for the NFL draft. North Carolina State's quarterback situation is uncertain. The Wolfpack's offensive coordinator left to take the head coaching job at Coastal Carolina. Both teams lost a lot of production on offense. The game is expected to be close.

UCLA is trying for its first 10-win season since 2014. The Bruins reached No. 9 in the polls twice but were done in by a defense that allowed 400 yards per game on average and finished 124th in success rate allowed. Pitt went 8-4 this season.

UCLA is going to play in the Orange Bowl. Pitt has lost a lot of players to the transfer portal and NFL draft prep. UCLA will have a mostly complete roster. The line is 6.5. Duke's Mayo Bowl, Gator Bowl and Orangebowl are the games to bet on.

No. 21 Notre Dame is playing No. 19 South Carolina in the Orange Bowl. South Carolin won seven of its final nine games. Notre Notre Ireland won five of six games, but will be without key players.

Notre Dame will be without tight end Michael Mayer and edge rusher Isaiah Foskey. Tyler Buchner will start for Notre Dame. South Carolina will have a depleted defense. The game is a toss-up. The line is Notre Ireland -2.5. It's a good bet. They averaged 41 carries per game over their 5-1 finish. Their defense ranked 123rd in expected points allowed per rush and 127th in defensive rushing success rate.

Ohio (9-4) won seven straight games to end the regular season. Ohio lost to Toledo in the Mid-American Conference championship game. Wyoming (7-5) was blanked by Fresno State in a season-ending 30-0 loss.

Bobcats lost their last two games to a knee injury. Wyoming's leading rusher, Titus Swen, has transferred. The team's top two backups are out with injuries. Ohio averaged 47.7 carries per game after Kurtis Rourke went down.

No. 7 Clemson is playing at No. 6 Tennessee. The Tigers won the ACC title for the seventh time in eight seasons. Tennessee was in the playoff contention until quarterback Hendon Hooker suffered a torn ACL in a loss to South Carolina.

DJ Uiagalelei, Clemson's starting quarterback for the past two seasons, has transferred. Clemson edge rusher Myles Murphy and linebacker Trenton Simpson have opted out. Tennessee wide receivers Jalin Hyatt and Cedric Tillman have also opted not to play. Offensive coordinator Alex Golesh left to take the head coaching job at South Florida.
