Maryland and NC State are playing in a non-major bowl game. Both teams have been dealing with transfer issues. CJ Dippre announced yesterday that he's going to Alabama.
Pitt will play in the Sun Bowl. The game has been moved from New Year's Eve to December 30th. Pitt will be missing eight starters due to opt-outs/transfers. UCLA will try to complete their first 10-win season since 2014.
Notre Dame and South Carolina are 8-4 and both have a chance to make the playoffs. Notre Dame is without their top receiver and their tight end. South Carolin is on a roll after beating Tennessee and upsetting their in-state rivals Clemson.
Ohio and Wyoming are playing in the Quick Daily Bowl. The game is broadcast online by Barstool Sports. It's the only bowl game not to air on any TV Network. The Bobcats have been without star quarterback Kurtis Rourke since mid-November. Wyoming has one of the worst passing offenses in FBS.
Clemson and Tennessee are playing in the Orange Bowl. Tennessee will be without their starting quarterback, who was injured in November. Clemson will give Cade Klubnik his first career start. DJ Uiagaleilei is out west to Oregon State.
