Candleford won the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes at Royal Ascot. Trainer William Haggas had meticulously laid out his horse for the event. It was his first win of the season. Ajero finished second. Craig Kieswetter is proud of his homebred winner. He would rather have winners at the Royal ascot than sports. Longbourn finished third. The winner is his second of this week. His previous one was at Kempton. Ajero came second for Kim Bailey. Tom Marquand won. She rides her every day. Alison Samuel rides him every single day and she will be in tears for a week after the win.
