Jay DeMerit played for Watford in the Premier League and the Championship. He also played 25 times for the United States, including against England at the 2010 World Cup. De merit moved to England after failing to get drafted in MLS. He played in non-league for Northwood and Southall. His performances for his country earned him a call-up to the USMNT squad in 2007. The game against the Three Lions was a big one for De Merit. It was the first game in their group and they were excited. They were playing in a marquee match. For Demerit, it was an honour to represent his nation.
