The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reports that Bogert's contract could reach or exceed $200 million. Bogsert was originally expected to sign for somewhere in the ballpark of six-years, $168 million via FanGraphs. The number feels inflated given his age and question marks surrounding his long-term future defensively. Red Sox's chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom is not willing to break the bank for Bogoert.
