Iga Swiatek vs Coco Gauff prediction and odds: Cincinnati Open 2023

The first of two Western & Southern Open women’s semi-finals is coming up shortly. In this one, it’s the top seed against the 7th seed – Swiatek vs Gauff, in what should be a great match. And before it begins, make sure you check out my tennis predictions today as listed below.

Our favourite Iga Swiatek vs Coco Gauff predictions

To get right to the point, I believe that Iga Swiatek will beat Coco Gauff in this semi-final match. But when it comes to the best betting markets to cover, I’d recommend the following:

Swiatek to win 2-0 @ 19/20 (1.95)

If you look at the head-to-head with these two players, the dominance of Iga Swiatek is obvious. The world number one has beaten Coco Gauff in all seven of their previous meetings. In addition, she has never dropped a single set to the young American. Now that is seriously impressive, and the odds on offer with that being the case are highly enticing.

Swiatek -2.5 games handicap @ 1/2 (1.50)

Assuming Iga Swiatek is to go out there and dominate Gauff, as she has done in all of their previous matches, I feel a -2.5 games handicap is the perfect addition to my first tip. Not only that but in all seven matches these two have played against each other, Swiatek has won by a margin of at least 2.5 games in all of them.

The odds in this article were correct at the time of writing, and the odds are subject to change. We recommend checking with your bookmaker before placing a bet.

Swiatek to make it 8-0 against Gauff?

Now that you are armed with a couple of WTA Cincinnati Open predictions for this semi-final of the Western & Southern Open, let’s turn the attention to the previews.

Iga Swiatek preview

Swiatek might have lost in the quarter-finals of the Canadian Open last week, but she is looking like a totally different player at the Cincinnati Open. So far, she has dominated players like Danielle Collins and the Wimbledon champion, Vondrousova, in the last round. And as she is hunting down a big title as we approach the US Open, I feel she is set to produce her top-level and dispatch Coco Gauff comfortably.

Coco Gauff preview

While all eyes are on Iga Swiatek for this match, Coco Gauff is certainly not to be underestimated. The American teenager has been playing great tennis over the last two weeks. Don’t forget – she made the quarter-finals of the Canadian Open before losing to the eventual champion, Jessica Pegula. And at the Western & Southern Open, she has torn through the draw without dropping a set. However, she hasn’t played a seeded player to reach this point, which has made her path relatively easy.

Swiatek vs Gauff head to head

If you are rooting for Coco Gauff in this match, I’d turn away now. Currently, Iga Swiatek holds a 7-0 lead in the head-to-head department against Coco Gauff. Adding to that, 6 of these wins occurred in the 2022/2023 seasons, so it’s not like these results are dated or irrelevant.
