IN FOCUS: LSU Defensive End Ali Gaye

Ali Gaye was born in The Gambia and moved to Seattle when he was 12 years old. He learned English and how to interact with different cultures in America. Gayes has always been an athlete. In high school, he played both sides of the ball in football and basketball. As a freshman, Gayez played on the offensive line and by his sophomore season, was a varsity starter. Now he plays offensive lineman at LSU. He started garnering national attention from colleges all over the country. His high-school teammate told him to make a highlight tape to send to colleges. Once he made the tape and distributed it, offers started flying in.
