BMW North America is the first official automotive partner of the Kentucky Derby. The company organized a number of events and experiences dedicated to the tradition. It was the guest of BMW North American. The Taste of Derby was a culinary event, followed by a tour of Stitzel-Weller Distillery. On Friday before the Derby, the race is held for 3-year-old fillies. There is an unofficial pink theme attached to it. Steve Buttleman is a bugler of Churchill Downs. He played the bugle at the start of this year's race. A heavy downpour interrupted the event.
