Delhi Capitals are expected to release star all-arounder Shardul Thakur. Thkur was released by Chennai Super Kings and was acquired by the Capitals during the IPL 2022 auction. The IPP 2023 auction is scheduled for December.

Shardul will be on the team's mind as they try to introduce some local flavour to the lineup. If Shardul joins the Mumbai Indians, he would be employed as a gambler who can take significant wickets. Jasprit Bumrah will bowl economical overs.
