Jalin Turner’s (13-7) last two outings have filled up the loss column, but he is a lot better than his record suggests. His potential was on full show leading up to last year where he compiled an impressive five-fight win streak with two knockouts and three submissions. They include submissions over Uros Medic (2021) and Brad Riddell (2022) along with a knockout over Jamie Mullarkey (2022). However, narrow split decision losses to Mateusz Gamrot and Dan Hooker last year have provided a setback.
Bobby Green (31-14-1(1)) is well versed to overcoming setbacks which was on display last year. In 2022, he got knocked out by Islam Makhachev and Drew Dober. After his ‘no contest’ with Jared Gordon he reeled off two performances of the night by submitting Tony Ferguson and a quick knockout over the surging Grant Dawson.

Green was preparing for the rangy striker Dan Hooker who broke his arm. His game plan will be the same, but he has a different beast in front of him. He must be in fight shape already to be able to make weight in two weeks.
He is a huge lightweight and will boast a six-inch reach and five-inch height advantage. If this stays on the feet, Green will not be phased at all and will back his head movement and hand speed to chip away at Turner’s chin.
If Turner can keep Green at range and find a way to get the fight to the deck, he could make sense of the odds with a finish. However, Green as the underdog taking on someone who has had two weeks to prepare makes him the smart pick.
We can see the veteran weathering the first round and winning the next two with his volume and sealing a decision with a couple takedowns. However, we feel Turner must have seen something and have the fight-winning strategy to accept this fight.
