James Garner became Everton's eighth signing of the summer. He is behind Idrissa Gueye, Amadou Onana and Alex Iwobi in the midfield pecking order. Leon Osman advises Garner to leave it all out on the pitch and play well. He believes Garner could be the one to bring goals from midfield. The midfielder has been with Manchester United since under-8 level. Everton are currently playing against Manchester City.

James Garner gives advice to Everton about January transfer plans, contract decisions and full Everton state of play ahead of World Cup break. Everton have won four of their first five games this season. The World cup break will take place in 10 days. Everton play Celtic and Western Sydney Wanderers in the Sydney Super Cup. They also play two more matches before 2023. Frank Lampard and Kevin Thelwell are content with the progress Everton has made so far.
