We are right around the exact midpoint of the NBA season and the contenders are starting to reveal themselves and pull away from the pack.
Tuesday, Jan. 23 will feature a few of those contenders in action, including the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets.

The next two things that you need to happen are for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to have at least 32 points and six assists. He is averaging 31 points and six assists, so while these numbers may seem lofty, they are well within reach.
The Thunder are at home and Gilgeous-Alexander’s numbers jump even more at home. We like him to dominate a Trail Blazers team that does not have anyone that can guard him.

These are the top NBA player props, including a line for Nikola Jokic, for Jan. 23:
Nikola Jokic props: Over 28.5 points (-120 or better)
The Serbian big man is unstoppable on a night-to-night basis and was a huge driver behind the Nuggets’ championship last season. This year, he’s averaging 26 points per game but has been doing even better as of late. In his last 10 games, he’s shooting 50% from three and better than 70% from the field. There’s also a solid chance that Jokic saw the crazy scoring numbers put up by fellow centers Karl-Anthony Towns and Joel Embiid last night and wants to have a dominant scoring performance of his own.
Anthony Davis props: Under 27.5 points (-110 or better)
“The Brow” is going to be playing in this battle of Los Angeles as the Lakers take on the Clippers. However, we do not see him going off for a signature performance. The Clippers have a top-ten defense in terms of points allowed per game. In addition, Davis has gone under the number in five of his last six games.
