Joao Moreira could ride on Hong Kong International Race Day
Joao Moreira has not ridden in Hong Kong since September 21 due to a recurring hip injury. He returned home to Brazil for further treatment and rehabilitation. The stipulation made by the Hongkong Jockey Club is that he must pass a stringent medical and fitness test when he arrives in the city. His participation on the big day on Sunday is dependent on that outcome. Moreiras has had a wonderful association with Japanese runners in past few years on Longines Hong kong International race day. Japanese trainers have again booked him to ride Glory Vase, Lei Papale and Resistencia in feature races on this day's race.
