K League: How to watch on TV, stream online, odds, start time, matchday schedule for Korean soccer

The return of soccer, outside of Nicaragua and Belarus, arrives on Friday when South Korea's leagues return to play without fans. The K League's 38th season gets underway Friday when reigning champ Jeonbuk FC hosts Suwon Bluewings at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium in the season opener, which is also the only game of the day. The match will be available to watch in the United States and features two teams with consistent attacks that could produce a lively one.

League background

The Korean first division hasn't been around long compared to the best and most established leagues in the world. The K league was founded in 1983 and consists of the first and second divisions. The first division features 12 teams. Most players in the league are Korean, but 10 different teams have at least one player from Brazil.

There are no Americans in the league, though Mix Diskerud did play there on loan last season. Former San Jose Earthquakes and LAFC player Marcos Urena plays for Gwangju FC.
