Kyle Larson wins California NASCAR race at Fontana

Kyle Larson won the NASCAR Cup Series race at Auto Club Speedway. It was the first race for NASCAR's Next Gen car on an intermediate track. Austin Dillon finished second and Daniel Suarez was third. The Chevrolets took the top four spots. The race was marred by several incidents. Bubba Wallace, Brad Keselowski and Harrison Burton were involved in a crash. Kyle Busch had an early spin and a flat tire. Chase Elliott had a spin. He also had contact with the wall. There was a race-record 12 cautions. They were caused by a collision between Bubb Wallace and Brad Kasellowski.

Kyle Larson won the 32nd Cup Series race at Fontana. The drivers tied the 2008 course record with 12 cautions.
