Leopardstown review: High Definition makes winning start over hurdles

High Definition won the All About Sunday Maiden Hurdle at Leopardstown. It was his first start for Joseph O'Brien. He was previously trained by his father Aidan. The horse is now 14-1 for the Supreme Novices’ Hortle in March at Cheltenham. The Dublin Racing Festival is an option for future plans. For now, O‘Brien is happy with his schooling at home. Dark Raven won the Thorntons Recycling Maiden Hurdle by three lengths from Doctor Bravo. Malinas gelding won twice in the bumper sphere in 2021. He hasn't raced since the latter of those triumphs at Fairyhouse 631 days ago. Willie Mullins hopes Dark Raven will improve further.

Lossiemouth won the Grade Three Knight Frank Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown. She was the second choice in the betting for the Triumph HURDLE at the Cheltenham Festival in March. Willie Mullins' horse won her debut at Fairyhouse earlier in October. Lossiemour is now favourite for Dublin Racing Festival. Saint Roi won the Brand New Racing Post App Novice Chase at Leopardstown. He came from last to first in the race. The seven-year-old was trained by JP McManus and ridden by Mark Walsh. Fil Dor was the favourite. Visionarian was 25-1 outsider. Saint Rois won by 2 and a quarter lengths. Paddy Power cut the winner's odds to 14-5 for the Sporting Life Arkle Challenge Trophy at Cheltenham in March.
