Lionel Messi next club odds: Beckham's Inter Miami favourites after huge MLS claim, Ronaldo rivalry could be reignited

INTER MIAMI are favourites to sign Lionel Messi.

That's according to bookmakers Sky Bet, who have installed David Beckham's MLS side at 7/4 to clinch Messi's signature when his PSG contract expires.

The World Cup winner, 35, has just over three months remaining on his existing deal with Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi has the option to extend his stay for a further 12 months, but will be available on a free transfer if no extension is agreed.

There's clearly no shortage of interest in his services.

A reunion with Barcelona has been mentioned time and again, while there's a strong financial challenge from clubs in the Middle East.

But a move Stateside is the most likely scenario for Messi, according to Sky Bet.

And Spanish newspaper Sport claim that MLS clubs are prepared to unite to bankroll a sensational deal that would see Messi earn over £800,000 a week.

It's thought his arrival would boost his own brand worldwide while boosting commercial and television revenue for the MLS.

A return to the Nou Camp is next in the betting at 7/2.

Messi scored 672 goals and provided 303 assists in 778 appearances for Barcelona, winning 10 LaLiga titles and the Champions League on four occasions.

Club president Joan Laporta confirmed he recently met with Messi's father and left open the possibility of a summer transfer.

Laporta said: "We talked about the World Cup and a tribute match for Leo. He's at PSG right now, so I don't want to speak about whether or not he could return."

He's 8/1 to join any Saudi Premier League team and reignite his rivalry with Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined Al-Nassr.

Manchester City are offered at 16/1, ahead of 20/1 duo Chelsea and Newcastle. Manchester United and Bayern Munich are outsiders at 25s.
