Liverpool flop set to be handed shock second chance in Premier League with interest from mega-money Saudi league too

LIVERPOOL reject Arthur Melo could be in line for another Premier League move despite a nightmare season in England.

The Brazilian midfielder, 26, joined the Reds from Juventus at the start of the 2022/23 campaign.

But he registered just one appearance for Jurgen Klopp's men across the season.

And that came way back in September when he featured for 13 minutes in a 4-1 defeat away at Napoli in the Champions League group-stage.

A thigh injury plagued his time at Anfield and he returned to Italy this summer.

But The Mail are now reporting Wolves are interested in bringing the South American to Molineux.

Julen Lopetegui is keen to bolster his midfield options following the departure of Ruben Neves to Saudi side Al-Hilal.

Arthur is receiving interest from Saudi himself, with a "lucrative offer" said to be on the table.

But he is keen to wait for an official enquiry from Wolves before making a decision.

Juventus are understood to be open to a loan with an obligation to buy.

Arthur, who has played 63 times for the Serie A giants and 22 games for the Brazil national team, thanked Liverpool at the end of the season for helping him through a tough time.

He said: "I think I was a bit unlucky. But that is in the past and I feel much better than then. I really want to play again and seek my highest level as a player.

"I went through difficult times, but it was very important for me to have the support of everyone, from the coach, Klopp, and the entire coaching staff, to my team-mates.

"The dressing room helped me a lot in a difficult moment."

Arthur, who also spent two years at Barcelona, has a contract with Juventus until 2025.

But he has left the door open to a move away from Turin.

He added: "I will return to Turin, but the transfer window is very long and we don't know what will happen.

"Something interesting may come up for me and for Juventus. I have a contract and I respect it, but we'll see."
