Liverpool vs Bournemouth simulated with prediction for Premier League game as Darwin Núñez nets

After failing to win their Premier League opener, Liverpool will be hoping to go one better and pick up a first victory of the season when the Reds host Bournemouth on Saturday.

Goals from Luis Díaz and Axel Disasi saw Liverpool and Chelsea share the points last weekend, with the 1-1 result the seventh-consecutive draw between the two sides. But, Liverpool will play at Anfield for the first time this season on Saturday as Jürgen Klopp's side faces Bournemouth.

The last meeting between the two sides ended in a shock 1-0 win for the Cherries, though last season's clash at Anfield was much different, with the Reds dismantling Bournemouth in a 9-0 victory.

Liverpool has announced the arrival of Wataru Endo ahead of Saturday, though the Japanese midfielder may not be part of the squad. So, could Liverpool pick up three points on Saturday? Let's take a look.

We simulated Liverpool vs Bournemouth to get a score prediction

To complete this simulation, we used FIFA 23 and updated the squads with the latest injuries, transfers and suspensions. FIFA 23 is not up to date with the latest kits or numbers, so both sides are in the kits from the 2022/23 season.

We predict that the Reds could line up in a 4-3-3 formation, with their line-up as follows: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Salah, Jota, Díaz.

We predict that the Cherries could set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Neto; Aarons, Senesi, Zabarnyi, Kerkez; Billing, Rothwell; Brooks, Christie, Anthony; Solanke.

Liverpool got off to the perfect start at Anfield, with Diogo Jota capitalizing on an error at the back to round the 'keeper and tap into an empty net after three minutes to put the Reds 1-0 ahead. Klopp's side continued to push for another as the Cherries struggled to get a foot in the game, and in the 13th minute, Mohamed Salah doubled the lead.

A one-two between Alexis Mac Allister and Trent Alexander-Arnold saw the latter break free down the right, and the defender spotted Salah's run with an inch-perfect through ball. The Egyptian took the pass in his path, and after cutting onto his left, he curled around the 'keeper and into the far corner to double the lead.

Ibrahima Konaté was pulled down in the box as a penalty was awarded just before the break, and Salah stepped up to make it three, with the winger firing straight down the middle. The Reds sat back and controlled the tempo of the game for most of the second half, but substitute Darwin Núñez added the fourth and final goal of the game in the 87th minute.

As Salah skipped past his marker on the right, he spotted the run of Núñez through the middle and found the striker with a lofted ball over the top of the defense. Núñez used his pace to peel away from his marker, and the Uruguayan rifled a powerful strike into the top corner to make it 4-0.

FIFA 23 predicted final score: Liverpool 4-0 Bournemouth

FIFA 23 predicts that Liverpool could get off to the perfect start at Anfield this season, winning 4-0 in the simulation. Bournemouth struggled against the Reds' attacking quality, with Mohamed Salah at his best once again.
