Local musicians Billy The Kid, Rule of Two & Christian Beck impress

Billy Evanochko is inducted into the Beaver Valley Musicians' Hall of Fame next year. He and his blues band, Billy The Kid & The Regulators, release a new album, "Nice Ain't Got Me Nothing" on Oct. 18. The single is "B.S. Barbie" about ending a toxic relationship. The band is touring the Atlantic seaboard. This month's scheduled seven-night Florida swing was hit by Hurricane Ian. They are playing a venue that was destroyed by the flood. It's not the first time a blues artist has sung about floods.

Rule of Two has released a new album, "Pharaohmoans." The Beaver County hard-rock trio gave up playing in 2018. The album's 10 tracks share a vibe Bender describes as "positive, fun, heartfelt, raw rock." The reaction to the album has been awesome. It's received positive feedback and support from people from all over. It was released last Friday at Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon and Deezer. There are two live tracks from the Rockin' The Suburbs music festival in Harmony Township. Herm Staving played bass on the bass guitar on this album.

Rule of Two might play some one-off shows, but Bender has two young sons now. He might need to brush up on his riffs and shed some of the dad bod first.

Christian Beck will perform at the 8 Man Jam concert on Nov. 3 at Rivers Casino. The concert is organized by radio station Y108. Jon Pardi, Russell Dickerson, 2021 ACM New Female Artist of the Year Lainey Wilson, Nate Smith, Bailey Zimmerman, Niko Moon and Pittsburgh singer-songwriter Frank Vieira are also performing.
