Lock It or Lose It: Motorcycle Security Expert Talks Anti-Theft

Only half of motorcycle owners took proactive steps to protect their bikes from theft. The most important steps are to have insurance and to remove the key from the ignition. Bruno Rimkunas, an employee of safety brand Monimoto, gives some tips on effective ways to keep your bike where you put it. He explains that insurance is not the best bet to prevent bike theft and it can be difficult to recover from a theft, especially if the dealer doesn't have a replacement bike.

Rimkunas recommends having up-to-date insurance and bike locks. GPS trackers and parking in a garage are also important.
