Logan Paul’s boxing results and recent form

Logan Paul is one of the most successful social media stars in the world. The stats back that up with a combined following across all major platforms of 32 million people. While that’s an impressive number, Logan Paul’s boxing record doesn’t pack as much of a punch.

The 28-year-old American has just one boxing match sanctioned under professional rules. That was against KSI back in September 2019. Paul and KSI had previously fought to a draw under amateur rules in 2018.

The rematch took place at the Staples Center and was broadcast on DAZN. Paul lost via split decision over six rounds. Logan Paul’s most recent boxing match was an exhibition against Floyd Mayweather. The bout saw Paul roughhouse Mayweather early on but, ultimately, he was outclassed. Mayweather toyed with the amateur for much of the fight, out-striking him 43 to 28 punches landed.

Heading into his October 14 boxing match against Dillon Danis, Logan Paul’s boxing record stands at 0-1 in professional fights, and 0-2 in amateur bouts.

Dillon Danis’ boxing results and recent form

Dillion Danis will make his professional boxing debut on October 14 when he faces Logan Paul in Manchester. Although Paul has a superior boxing record on account of the fact he’s actually boxed before (but never won), Danis is the more experienced fighter.

The New Jersey native might be better known to some for his social media battles, but he was once considered a top Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) fighter. In fact, many considered Danis a BJJ prodigy given how quickly he became a black belt under one of the world’s most revered grapplers, Marcelo Garica.

Indeed, by the age of 21, Danis was competing in, and winning, world-level jiu-jitsu tournaments as a black belt. His skills on the mat caught the attention of former UFC champion Conor McGregor who drafted in him as a regular training partner for fight camps. Danis subsequently transitioned to MMA in 2018. He’s since fought twice in Bellator, beating both Kyle Walker and Max Humphreys via submission.

This experience fighting professionally should help Danis deal with the occasion at least. He's also shown his toughness in high-level matches, but it’s hard to escape the fact he’s never boxed professionally.

Logan Paul vs. Dillion Danis betting tips and odds

Danis vs. Paul won’t be the most spectacular boxing match in history, but the animosity between the two fighters should make it a slugfest at the very least. Both men want the win more than anything right now, which is why there will be fireworks when they meet in Manchester. Some of the best Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis bets we’ve found are:

Logan Paul to win by disqualification: 4/7 at bet365

Winning by disqualification might seem like a longshot but there’s more beef between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis than a busy Saturday night in McDonald’s. Scroll through the latest headlines and you’ll see that Danis has been trolling Paul’s fiancé Nina Agdal who has since filed a lawsuit against him.

Two boxers heading into a fight with a lawsuit between them is unprecedented, so there’s a chance Danis could snap under the pressure. If that happens, he might revert to type and choke out Paul. Therefore, odds of 4/7 on Paul to win via KO, TKO or disqualification isn’t a bad price.

Draw or technical draw: 14/1 at Ladbrokes

Our boxing betting tips don’t usually include draws, but this isn’t your average bout. Paul vs. Danis is, essentially, two novices having an exhibition bout in front of a massive audience. It’s not a true exhibition because they’ll both be going for the knockout, but it’s far from a professional fight.

We’ve seen Paul draw against KSI and, given that draws aren’t uncommon in influencer boxing, 14/1 is a solid price. It might be a long shot, but we certainly wouldn’t rule out a draw.

Logan Paul to win by KO: 8/15 at Sky Bet

Logan Paul is bigger and more experienced than Danis. Yes, he’s still a novice and the majority of his focus recently has been on WWE. However, for all his shortcomings with regard to boxing, he’s still fought under Queensbury rules more times than Danis. Couple this with a significant size advantage and an aggressive style, and Paul by knockout isn’t beyond the realms of possibility.

The only thing that could scupper this is Danis being overly defensive and backing off. So, if you can find odds anywhere close to 10/1 for a KO win, you should seriously consider placing a bet.

Who is the favourite to win, Logan Paul or Dillion Danis?

Logan Paul is the betting favourite to win his October 14 fight against Dillon Danis. The odds for Paul are hovering around 1/5, while Danis is out at 9/2. Betting odds only tell half the story but, based on our analysis, Paul just edges it when it comes to potential.

Yes, Danis is a professional fighter, but in MMA and jiu-jitsu. He’s only ever boxed in the gym and, while he may have sparred pros, that’s not the same as doing it in front of a crowd.

Paul, despite not winning, has done it under the lights. The only potential banana skin for Paul is his recent focus. Aside from his social media channels and business interests, such as Prime, Paul has been performing dramatic acrobatics in the WWE. There’s no doubt this experience will make him physically fit and strong, but will it help his boxing skills? Certainly not.

So, if Danis has been working hard on his game and can draw on his fight experience, he may be able to upset the odds.

What’s the weight category of the Logan Paul vs. Dillion Danis fight?

Paul will fight Danis over 10 rounds in the cruiserweight division. This means both fighters will weigh in at no more than 200 pounds. However, as is often the case in boxing, fighters will cut water weight before the weigh-in then rehydrate. The rehydration process can easily add another 10 pounds to a boxer’s weight. Given that Paul is naturally bigger than Danis, he’s likely to gain more weight after the weigh-in and this could give him an advantage.

Who has more professional matches, Logan Paul or Dillion Danis?

Logan Paul has more professional boxing matches than Danis. Paul has fought once under professional rules and twice as an amateur. Danis has never had a professional or amateur boxing match. He has, however, won two professional MMA fights and 18 high-level jiu-jitsu matches.

Who has more wins in their professional career, Logan Paul or Dillion Danis?

Neither Danis nor Paul have a win in boxing. Logan Paul has been in the boxing ring three times, losing twice and drawing once. Dillon Danis hasn’t had any pro or amateur boxing matches. He has, however, got a winning record of 2-0 in MMA, and 18 wins from 34 jiu-jitsu matches.

Who has more KOs in their career, Logan Paul or Dillion Danis?

Neither fighter has a knockout on their record. Paul landed some good shots on Floyd Mayweather in their exhibition match and, for a few seconds, thought a knockout was coming. Unfortunately for him, Mayweather appeared to be playing possum and came back to punish Paul in later rounds. Danis is a submission artist, and a very good one at that. He’s not known for his striking though. This shows in his MMA fights as Danis only used strikes to take down his opponents and get a submission.

What’s on the line if Logan Paul or Dillion Danis win?

There’s nothing but bragging rights on the line between Paul and Danis. They’ve both got big social media followings and even bigger egos, so neither wants to lose. For Paul, there’s the added incentive of defending his fiancé’s honour. For Danis, a win is necessary to cover the lawsuits Nina Agdal has taken out against him.

Are there any undercard fights that you should pay attention to?

Yes, there are plenty of undercard fights on X Series 10, including Tommy Fury vs. KSI. As it is with Misfits boxing cards, none of the fighters are seasoned pros. Therefore, you shouldn’t expect to see any sublime boxing skills on MF & DAZN: X Series 10.

Having said this, there are some pro fighters on the card, including Nurideen Shabazz, Walid Muhsein and Anthony Taylor. There are also some big hitters from social media taking to the ring, many of whom have competed in previous Misfits shows. Some of the names to look out for are:

  • Tommy Fury vs. KSI
  • Nurideen Shabazz vs. Walid Muhsein
  • Kenny Ojuederie vs. Anthony Taylor
  • Nathaniel Bustamante vs. Sulieman Albaher
  • Sam Gumbley vs. Deji Araoye
  • Astrid Wett vs. Alexia Grace

Tune into Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis from 7 pm (UK)/2 pm (ET) on October 14. The entire card will be streamed live on DAZN in the UK and over 200 countries around the world. You’ll need a DAZN subscription to watch Paul vs. Danis via your TV, computer or mobile device.
