LSU vs Alabama betting odds, spread, preview

The LSU Tigers are off this week before taking on the Alabama Crimson Tide, but the betting line is here for the much-anticipated contest.

The Tigers and Crimson Tide are set to battle it out for the top spot in the SEC West, and the oddsmakers at Caesars Sportsbook have the Crimson Tide as the early favorite.

The Crimson Tide open as 4.5-point favorites over the Tigers for this year’s contest at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, which will take place on Saturday, Nov. 4.

The Crimson Tide have won their last six games outright, five of which were against SEC opponents, and the Tigers have won their last three but dropped an SEC contest against Ole Miss.

There were questions surrounding Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide after an early loss to Texas, but they’ve since righted the ship and are currently in control of the SEC West with an undefeated SEC record.

The Tigers aren’t far behind though and could leapfrog the Crimson Tide with a win if they can replicate last season’s magic in which Brian Kelly and Jayden Daniels were able to triumph in their first time facing Saban and company.

Last season saw the Tigers pull off a two-point conversion in overtime to secure a thrilling 32-31 win that ended up leading to a trip to the SEC Championship Game.

Daniels has performed even better in his second season with the Tigers and is currently among the Heisman Trophy favorites at Caesars Sportsbook, as he’s tied for the second-best odds to win it at +300.

The Tigers have fared well against the Crimson Tide recently after years of struggle against Saban, as they’ve won two of the past four meetings outright and covered the spread in three of those four.

The kickoff time and TV network is to be announced.
