Magical edges out Ghaiyyath in thrilling Irish Champion Stakes

Magical won the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown. She repeated her victory from 12 months ago. Magical is trained by Aidan O'Brien and ridden by Seamie Heffernan. O’Brien hopes Magical will be at the Breeders' Cup next year.  Magal is a serious mare when she gets into a battle with her. Her stablemate Armory won. The horse was booked to go to No Nay Never. It wasn't a big field, but they were all good horses. Armory's stablemates also ran an unbelievable race. They were good. Magal was retired at end of last year, and returned to training in the spring.
