8XBet is Manchester City's new Asian betting partner. The company has a dubious social presence and its accounts are run from the United Arab Emirates. The website of Manchester claims that 8Xbet was founded in 2018 by one Ryan Li. Newcastle United's ownership is controlled by a consortium containing PIF (Public Investment Fund) controlled from Saudi Arabia.
The 8xbet.com domain was for sale as of November last year.
Ryan Li is the founder of a bookmaker called 8XBet. The .com domain for the company was for sale in 2019 and blank in November 2020. It was registered in March 2021. Manchester City have been accused of trying to circumvent financial fair play rules. UEFA previously found that the Premier League club had inflated their income for several years.
