Manchester is still blue. Arsenal crumbled down the stretch, leaving the door open for City to swoop in and win their third straight Premier League title. With a core of superstar players and arguably the most depth in European football, will City win the league again in 2023-24?

It'll take major summer moves from challengers Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Newcastle, as each club appears to be missing one or two pieces that would put them on City's level.

The summer transfer window will open on June 14. Until then, we'll rely mostly on what we saw from England's top flight in 2022-23.

Premier League title betting analysis

With the 2022-23 Premier League season just ending and not much information available outside of this past campaign's final standings, the Premier League odds are more or less a reflection of the league table.

Manchester City are expectedly big favorites, trading as short as -200 via Caesars among our best sports betting apps.

Following their fifth-place finish, Liverpool are the near-unanimous second-biggest favorite following City. Only Caesars is offering Arsenal at shorter odds than it does Liverpool.

Manchester United and Newcastle, who finished third and fourth this season, respectively, aren't too far behind at most of our best sports betting sites.

DraftKings offers the best price on City to win the league, but it's also one of the worst books in terms of pricing on some of the league's other big clubs. Caesars has some of the best prices across the board.

Premier League odds movement

It'll be important to track these odds throughout the summer, as transfers will play a pivotal role in determining which teams are set to serve as the greatest challengers to City's reign of terror.

Manchester City (-150 via DraftKings)

As it stands, it feels almost irresponsible to bet against City. With the goalscoring machine that is Erling Haaland, a midfield led by one of the finest players in the world, and a back line that looks more coherent as each year passes, City are built to destroy England's finest.

The -150 odds available at DraftKings are the longest among our best sportsbooks, though I'd wait until the transfer window opens and we have more information before betting on the back-to-back-to-back kings.

Teams such as Arsenal, Liverpool, United, or even Chelsea could make enough high-profile additions that sportsbooks begin to offer City at even or plus money. Meanwhile, it feels unlikely these odds get any shorter in the coming months. Waiting for more information is never a bad move.

Arsenal (+900 via BetMGM, Caesars)

They were so close. Arsenal sat atop the table for much of the season, but they couldn't quite hold on down the stretch.

However, what we learned from their impressive campaign is that Arsenal are already closer than we realized. With some additional depth at the back - the club really struggled when it lost center-back William Saliba - and a more refined striker, Arsenal could be right back in the title hunt next season.

Though I'd take a wait-and-see approach with City, I don't hate betting on Arsenal now. These +900 odds at both BetMGM and Caesars feel fairly generous for this season's runner-up, especially when considering Arsenal and Liverpool are trading at almost identical odds across our best sports betting sites.

Premier League odds: Fade

Chelsea (+1600 via DraftKings, PointsBet)

As it stands, there's no way to justify Chelsea being listed among the true Premier League title contenders. Their price across our top sportsbooks is simply based on the name alone.

The Blues were a punchline this past season more than they ever were a threat, and without knowledge of any potential additions this summer, we have to fade them at this relatively short price.
