Premier League forecast odds

The top flight of domestic football can produce thrilling neck-and-neck title races. There are now odds available on the order of the first two teams come the end of the 2023-24 campaign, and bet365 has opened a market for this specific outcome.

Manchester City were champions and Arsenal runners-up last term – and that would have been a big surprise at the start of the season, as the Gunners proved to have unexpected firepower.

Here we take a look at the extensive list.

Forecast odds – 2023-24

  • 1st: Manchester United, 2nd: Manchester City @ 18/1

While this market includes the top 10 teams in the domestic top flight, we have listed those that have odds below 50/1 on bet365. More can be found here.

Where could the value lie in this market?

Liverpool struggled throughout last season, and injuries to Luis Diaz and Thiago stymied the chances of any real consistency for the Reds.

However, near the end of the campaign they started to produce some form that suggest they could be on their way back to their best. Trent Alexander-Arnold played particularly well in midfield and the club also recorded a staggering 7-0 victory over North-West rivals Manchester United at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were the last to stop Manchester City winning the Premier League, in 2019-20, and the Merseysiders have strengthened significantly with the signings of midfielders Dominik Szoboszlai, the Hungary captain, from RB Leipzig, and Argentina World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister, from Brighton & Hove Albion.

In Mohamed Salah they have a previous Premier League Golden Boot winner, and Ibrahima Konate is only improving as he continues to show he can be a valuable centre-back partner to Virgil van Dijk.

You can get odds of 12/1 for Liverpool to win the title and Manchester City to come second while the reverse of that top-two forecast is priced at 13/2.

Light Blues seem invincible

It is hard to look past Manchester City as title victors again this season, and Pep Guardiola’s side are the shortest in the top-two forecast betting.

The Light Blues won the treble last season with their Premier League campaign spearheaded by the signing of Erling Haaland, who netted 36 times in the top flight.

City have now won three titles in a row and they dominate the forecast market, with the lowest three prices all featuring them to finish first.

They are 9/2 to finish top with Arsenal second, and 8/1 if you think they will be champions with their locals rivals Manchester United runners-up.

Could the Gunners be involved again?

Arsenal produced a quite spectacular title charge for most of last season but fell short at the end as Manchester City’s quality shone through in a swashbuckling final stretch.

However, the Gunners will aspire to another surge for the top spot again this term, with the north London club breaking their transfer record to sign Declan Rice from West Ham this summer – a move that will massively bolster their midfield.

The England stalwart could make a massive difference to the club. With his leadership qualities and playing capabilities there for all to see, he is an undoubted upgrade on Arsenal’s current options in central midfield.

The Gunners have also brought in Chelsea forward Kai Havertz, who will only reinforce their attacking choices and link up well with the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal are 12/1 to finish first, with Manchester City second. If you fancy a more adventurous price, the Gunners are 28/1 to be top ahead of Liverpool as runners-up.
