Man City predicted to win Premier League with Man Utd and Chelsea set to miss out on top four as bookies' odds revealed

MANCHESTER CITY winning the Premier League and Chelsea and Tottenham missing out on top four.

Sure, that's just happened. But bookmakers Betfair reckon that scenario will play out AGAIN this year.

That's because they've put together the league table of how they predict the league will finish, based on their outright odds.

And there's no real surprise to see Pep Guardiola's treble winners top the betting market to defend their title.

The Cityzens will start the season as favourites for every competition they are entered in and it'll take a good side to stop them cleaning up once more.

Arsenal are tipped to back up last season's sterling effort with another high flying display to finish second again.

Liverpool - missing out on top four last year - are expected to bounce back from that and join Newcastle in qualifying for the Champions League for the following season.

That then sees Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham missing out on those coveted spots - in that order.

Brighton, Aston Villa and West Ham - fresh off their own European glory - are anticipated to make up the rest of the top 10.

It doesn't look particularly good reading for the Premier League new boys with Luton predicted to finish bottom and Sheffield United one spot above them.

It is good news for Burnley though, who are predicted to beat the drop - just - at the expense of Bournemouth who are tipped for third bottom.

Brentford are predicted to beat Crystal Palace and Everton in the battle for top spot in the bottom half.
