Man City v Aston Villa: Get boosted odds on Alan Brazil's talkSPORT BET bet builder

Manchester City welcome Aston Villa to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon in a repeat Premier League clash of last season’s final day comeback victory which secure City’s fourth league title in five seasons.

talkSPORT BET are offering a boosted bet for Sunday’s game, selected by talkSPORT’s own Alan Brazil, which you can add straight to your bet slip here.

The match sees Man City playmaker Jack Grealish come up against his boyhood club, whom he left for a then league record transfer fee of £100m, and will be fired up to perform well against his old club.

Pep Guardiola’s side head into the weekend in second place in the Premier League, five points behind Arsenal, though the Gunners will have played against Brentford by the time City kick off against Aston Villa.

The Citizens are in slightly scratchy form by their high standards, having lost three of their last six matches in all competitions, a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham last weekend.

Sunday’s game will also be the club’s first match since being charged with more than 100 breaches of the Premier League’s financial rules between 2009 and 2018.

Aston Villa have recovered well since Unai Emery took charge of Steven Gerrard’s team, taking them from relegation candidates to within a point of the division’s top half.

Villa’s 4-2 defeat at Leicester last weekend was their five league defeat in five matches, and the West Midlands have actually picked up more points than Man City in 2023, currently fifth in the annual table.

The reverse fixture earlier in the season ended in a 1-1 draw, the first time the Villans have avoided defeat against City in nine matches.

However, Villa haven’t beaten Man City since 2013, and haven’t won a league game at the Etihad since 2007.
