Man City vs Inter Milan prediction and odds ahead of Champions League final

With two trophies already achieved, Manchester City travel to Turkey with their mindset on achieving the treble which has only been achieved by their rivals Manchester United in 1999. They face an Inter Milan who achieved their equivalent of a treble under Jose Mourinho and the last time they featured in a Champions League final too in 010 - the last time an Italian side won the UEFA Champions League trophy.

Treble-chasing City are 4/9 favourites with Betfred while Internazionale are 6/1 longshots in the final and a draw after 90 minutes is 7/2. This will be the first ever meeting between the two sides and rather apt the first competitive meeting in the tournament between two clubs will be held at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul - which happened last time when Liverpool first met AC Milan in 2005.

Pep Guardiola will be hoping to improve after their FA Cup win against United. Despite their win and deservedly so, there was plenty of moments on the pitch that left more to be desired and they will need to up their game against Inter Milan - who are a far more superior side. Inter have picked up 11 wins in their last 12 matches with the only defeat in that run coming from Serie A champions Napoli and will be a handful with both former City player Edin Dzeko and Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku attacking options to keep City's defence busy.

Tips

  • Ilkay Gundogan to score anytime - 3/1

  • Man City to win and both teams to score - 21/10
