NEW YORK — A Manhattan councilwoman received a vile death threat in a hand-written letter mailed to her office, cops confirmed Saturday.

Dee Williams returned a punt 39 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to put No. 19 Tennessee ahead for the first time and the Volunteers shut down Texas A&M the rest of the way in a 20-13 victory Saturday. Vols punter Jackson Ross backed up the Aggies to the 1, with a three-and-out setting up Williams for the pivotal return. Jaylen Wright rushed for 136 yards for the Volunteers (5-1, 2-1 Southeastern Conference). The victory was sealed when Gabe Jeudy-Lalley picked off a pass and returned it to the A&M 6 to set up a field goal. Max Johnson threw two interceptions for Texas A&M (4-3, 2-2).

Camden Orth threw a touchdown pass and ran for another score, PaSean Wimberly scored off a blocked punt and Bowling Green held off Buffalo for a 24-14 victory. Wimberly’s 18-yard run to the end zone capped a 24-point run for Bowling Green (3-4, 1-2 Mid-American Conference), which led 24-7 at halftime. Buffalo (2-5, 0-1) cut the deficit to 10 with CJ Ogbonna’s 24-yard touchdown pass to Darrell Harding Jr. with 3:02 remaining in the third quarter. But the Bills would then turn the ball over on downs twice, and have an 11-play drive stall with an Ogbonna interception.

Dante Chachere accounted for five touchdowns, five passing and one running, and Portland beat Northern Arizona 45-21. Chachere was 14-of-19 passing for a mere 59 yards and ran for 83. Quincy Craig ran for 103 yards on five carries for the Vikings which had 366 yards rushing and 525 yards in total offense. Jermaine Braddock had a pair of scoring receptions in the second quarter for a 21-7 lead before Craig reached the end zone early in the third quarter. Craig’s second touchdown started a string of five-straight touchdowns by the teams before NAU gave up the ball on downs and then threw an interception. Adam Damante threw for 250 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions for the Lumberjacks  and Angel Flores threw a 3-yard TD pass on his only attempt.

Rourke sandwiched a 1-yard scoring plunge between a pair of Woodill field goals, the last with 7 seconds to go, to give the Bobcats a 13-7 lead at the half.

Leshon Williams scored the game’s lone touchdown on an 82-yard breakaway and finished with 174 yards rushing Saturday to lead Iowa to a 15-6 victory over Wisconsin. The Badgers lost quarterback Tanner Mordecai to a hand injury. Iowa has beaten Wisconsin in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2008-09 and gets to maintain possession of the Heartland Trophy, Williams' 82-yard touchdown in the second quarter was Iowa’s longest run from scrimmage since Tavian Banks also had an 82-yarder in a 63-20 blowout of Iowa State in 1997.
