Manchester United vs Brentford LIVE commentary: Red Devils desperate to avoid three defeats in a week

Manchester United will look to avoid three defeats in a week when they host Brentford this Saturday, live on talkSPORT 2.

The Red Devils are also looking to avoid three consecutive home Premier League losses for the first time in their history.

Erik ten Hag's men were beaten 1-0 by Crystal Palace last weekend before Galatasaray secured an incredible 3-2 win at Old Trafford in the Champions League.

The pressure is mounting on Ten Hag and he needs a win this weekend.

Meanwhile, Brentford haven't had the greatest start to the season.

The Bees have won just one league game, so will look to change that against a fragile United team.

Manchester United vs Brentford: Team news

The hosts have a swathe of injury concerns, with Amad Diallo, Lisandro Martinez and Aaron Wan-Bissaka among a large number of long-term absentees.

Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Sergio Reguilon are also likely to miss out, meaning Sofyan Amrabat will probably continue at left-back.

Rasmus Hojlund should lead the line after grabbing two goals in midweek.

Meanwhile, Brentford remain without Ivan Toney, who is banned until January for gambling offences.

Rico Henry's season looks to be over after picking up an ACL.

Ben Mee, Shandon Baptiste, Kevin Schade, Mikkel Damsgaard and Josh Dasilva are all out, leaving Thomas Frank with little options.

Manchester United vs Brentford: What has been said?

United fan and talkSPORT host Mark Goldbridge believes that Ten Hag isn't to blame for Man United's poor start to the season.

He told talkSPORT.com: "Erik ten Hag’s future is safe at Manchester United and I’m not surprised by that at all.

"Any talk of wanting him out is wrong because there are bigger issues at the club right now.

"United fans are not going after the manager and people outside of our supporters might not understand that.

"I think the job's too big for any manager right now. If you put Carlo Ancelotti, Diego Simeone, Pep Guardiola or Jurgen Klopp in there, then they'd sink because it's such a mess.

"If you go after the manager, like we did with Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick, then who do you get in?"
