Mattress Mack keeps taking Ls betting on Dallas-area teams
Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale cashed out massively in November, as he won $75 million via a number of bets on the Houston Astros to win the 2022 World Series. The winter hasn't been so kind to the Houston furniture magnate.
McIngvale's difficult January began when he bet on TCU to win the College Football Playoff. He placed a $1.5 million wager on the Horned Frogs to defeat Georgia in the national title game, but his bet quickly went off the rails. The Horned Frogs fell into a 38-7 first-half deficit, and things didn't get better over the final 30 minutes. Georgia won the contest 65-7, handing Mattress Mack a painful seven-figure defeat.
