Mavericks Odds: How to bet tonight’s game against the Denver Nuggets

Is it a championship hangover? Have luxury tax concerns weakened the depth? There’s something off about the Nuggets and it hard to pinpoint, why, exactly, they look different and feel different than last year’s title winning team. The Nuggets are 17-10 with an impressive 10-2 record at home, but they don’t feel like the juggernauts that trampled over the rest of the league once Jamal Murray returned. The Nuggets are currently ranked 10th in offensive rating with teams like the Nets and Nuggets ahead of them. Long term, there’s very little concern about the Nuggets ability to defend their title. In the short term, however, they feel especially vulnerable. Unfortunately for the Mavericks, Derreck Lively’s injury may prevent them from capitalizing on a underwhelming start to the season for the Nuggets.

Game Details

Fixture: Denver Nuggets vs Dallas Mavericks | NBA 2023-2024

Date and Time: Monday, December 18th, 2023; 8:00 PM CST

Venue: Ball Arena, Denver, CO

Outcome Odds

  • Spread: Mavericks +7.5(-110)
  • O/U 238.5
  • Mavs ML: +250

I have no interest in betting the spread but I am intrigued by the over. With two firepower offenses facing off, this game could hit the over midway through the 4th.

Player Props

  • Dante Exum over 14.5 Points(-110)
  • Nikola Jokic over 27.5 Points(-120)
  • Nikola Jokic over 12.5 Rebs(-140)

Dante Exum is becoming a thing. His ability to get downhill and attack the paint has been invaluable. His shooting and volume from 3 feels unsustainable but 15 points feels well within reach. As far as Jokic, Lively was never going to shut him down but he at least stood a chance to grab a rebound. Jokic could put up a 20/20 tonight against our current frontline.
