The New York Mets will face the St. Louis Cardinals in this Spring Training matchup at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium on Friday.

Trayce Thompson has been the surprise player so far at the start of the Mets’ camp. The brother of Klay has four hits, two home runs, and six RBIs in seven at-bats so far this Spring. Pete Alonso has also had it going early on with a .667 batting average in three games played.

After scoring 18 runs in their first two games, the Cardinals’ offense has been stagnant since. They have only produced five runs over their past five outings, and it would be nice for St. Louis fans to see some life from the bats in this one. Luckily for the Cardinals, these games do not count toward their record, and they still have plenty of time before the regular season.
