Mets vs Orioles Prediction

The New York Mets and Baltimore Orioles face off on Friday in an MLB showdown at Oriole Park.

Orioles Still Underrated?

The Orioles still seem to be one of the most underrated teams in baseball, even though they sit atop one of the toughest divisions in baseball. Coming into this game the Orioles sit with a 67-42 record overall and they are coming off another series against the Toronto Blue Jays. On Thursday the Orioles were able to secure the 6-1 victory. Austin Hays finished with four hits and two RBIs. On the mound for the Orioles will be Dean Kremer who sits with a 10-4 record and an ERA of 4.66.

Mets Hit Rock Bottom

There have been a lot of lows this season for the Mets, but they have hit rock bottom. After trading away their two aces, the Mets are coming off a series loss against the Kansas City Royals. On Thursday the Mets pitching giving up nine runs and that led to the seven run defeat. The Mets are averaging 4.38 runs while their pitching is giving up 4.59 runs per game. The offense and defense are both ranked 18th. On the mound for the Mets will be David Peterson who sits with a 3-7 record and an ERA of 5.92. Peterson has had his issues this season and it’s not going to get any easier in this game. Dean Kremer has gotten plenty of run support this season and he sits with a 10-4 record overall. The Mets gave up nine runs on Thursday and they are going to give up at least that to the Orioles. Back the Orioles to win this game on the run line.
