Argentine Emiliano Grillo has been trending in the right direction in the last few weeks, with four top-25 finishes in his six events so far in 2024.

He has seven top-tens since the start of last year, including a victory at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Grillo came home in the top five in Mexico last year. Don’t be surprised to see the Argentine at the top of the leaderboard this week.

Brandon Wu @ 33/1 with bet365

This is a selection that might surprise a few people, with Brandon Wu having struggled over the last year. He only has three top-ten finishes since the start of 2023.

However, the American is returning to a golf course he loves. Wu finished T2 at the inaugural Mexico Open on the PGA Tour in 2022, before then finishing 3rd last year. Could he top it off with a win this week at Vidanta?

What else is going on in the world of golf this week?

There is plenty of other action this week, with five more tournaments taking place over the course of the next seven days.

David Puig’s win as the Asian Tour got underway last week, we have the first International Series event of the year in Oman. There is also the Magical Kenya Open on the DP World Tour as well.

The Honda LPGA Thailand takes the LPGA Tour to Asia this week, with Lilia Vu aiming to defend her crown in Siam. Meanwhile, the Ladies European Tour and the PGA Champions Tour are both in Morocco.

The Lalla Meryem Cup (LET) and the Trophy Hassan II (CHT) will be played alongside each other at Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat.

Spaniards have found Morocco to be a happy hunting ground over the years, with Ignacio Garrido, Alejandro Canizares and Jorge Campillo among those to win in Rabat. Miguel Angel Jimenez is the fourth favourite at 11/1 to add to that list, this time on the PGA Champions Tour.

Nuria Iturrioz to win the Lalla Meryem Cup with bet365

Could we see a Spanish double in Morocco? Iturrioz is a two-time winner of the Lalla Meryem Cup, having been victorious at Dar Es Salem in both 2016 and 2019. I wouldn’t bet against her taking a third win this week.
