Who will take victory at Emirates Golf Club? Matt Coles gives us his betting tips for the Farmers Insurance Open.

Jason Day @ 25/1 with Oddschecker

This is an event that Jason Day enjoys playing in. The Australian has finished in the top 20 in three of the last four editions of the competition. He’s also a two-time winner of the Farmers Insurance Open!

Day was victorious at Torrey Pines in both 2015 and 2018, winning in a play-off on both occasions.

Could the Australian get back in the winner’s circle for the first time since May and become just the third person after Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson to win this event at least three times? He is 25/1 to do so this week.

Max Homa: He is the defending champion, and he will be looking for victory at Torrey Pines once more. Homa won the Farmers Insurance Open in 2023, and he is the second favourite to retain that title, sitting at 10/1.

Will Zalatoris: This will only be his fourth event back after that prolonged period away from the game through injury. Zalatoris finished runner-up to Luke List at Torrey Pines in 2022. 45/1 says the American goes one better this week, winning for the first time since September 2022.

What else is going on in the world of golf this week?

Along with the Farmers Insurance Open, there is also action from the DP World Tour and the LPGA Tour this week.

The DP World Tour continues its run in the Middle East after Rory McIlroy won his fourth Hero Dubai Desert Classic crown. The Ras Al Khaimah Championship is the third consecutive event to be held in the United Arab Emirates.

Meanwhile, following Lydia Ko’s victory at season opener on the LPGA Tour last week, this week sees the LPGA Drive On Championship in Florida.

If you’re thinking of betting on this week’s golf, then here are our tips for success…

Haotong Li @ 50/1 to win the Ras Al Khaimah Championship with Oddschecker

Yes, he was erratic with the driver on Sunday at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic and that probably cost him a shot at the victory.

However, the signs are there that Haotong Li’s game is getting back to its best. T14 at the Dubai Invitational, T7 on the Majlis on Sunday…

Is it that much of a surprise that Li wins this week at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship? He is 50/1 to win for the first time in 18 months.

Nelly Korda @ 12/1 to win the LPGA Drive On Championship with Oddschecker

Former World No.1 Nelly Korda is in familiar territory this week at the LPGA Drive On Championship, with the tournament taking place in her home town of Bradenton, Florida.

Korda has not won on the LPGA Tour since 2022 but did win the Aramco Team Series – London even in July last year.

Can she delight her home fans? Korda is the third favourite to take home the LPGA Drive On Championship at 12/1.
