Millar Farms OSS filly dominance continues. Velvet Stinger and Prohibition Legal won the $104,000 divisions in the fifth and final Gold Leg of the 2022 Ontario Sires Stakes calendar. Silver Label came second. The 2019 Millar Farm foal crop produced superb pacing fillies. George Millard is proud of his foals. The farm's homebreds are from Stouffville, Ont. and are trained by Nick Gallucci. They are three-year-old Bettors Delight, Big Jim and Velvet. Stingers.
Velvet Stinger's record improves to 8-1-0 from 13 starts this season. Prohibition Legal won the OSS Gold division after an over two month lay-off. Speaker Nancy finished second. Goudawon came third. It was the Brenda and Mark Lane's fourth Oss Gold result this year. The 2021 Super Final champion is from Kenmore, Ont. and is inside the top-10 of the standings ahead of October 15 Superfinal at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Intothemysticmoon was third in her OSS debut. Phillippe Hudon trains and drove Stephen Upson. Millar Farms homebreds are going to the Super Final.
