Milwaukee Brewers vs Oakland Athletics Prediction 6-10-23 MLB Picks

The Oakland Athletics and the Milwaukee Brewers meet Saturday in MLB action from American Family Field. This will be the second installment in a three-game weekend series. In the Friday opener, the A’s bagged a three-run victory. Check back all season long for free MLB picks at Sports Chat Place.

Oakland Athletics

The A’s took on the Pirates this week, winning two of three games for a series win. On Friday versus Milwaukee, the Athletics scored four runs in the first two innings and managed a 5-2 win. Luis Medina lasted 5.0 innings with two earned on three hits and three walks as the busiest team pitcher.

As starter for Saturday’s game it’ll be Oakland’s Paul Blackburn. In his two starts without a decision so far, Blackburn has a 6.00 ERA and nine Ks in 9.0 innings. Blackburn is 13-17 with a 5.12 career ERA in 53 games (50 starts).

Milwaukee Brewers

Over on the Milwaukee side, they managed to win two of three games this week as well, theirs versus the Orioles. On Friday the Brewers had just four team hits in the loss. Starter Adrian Houser lasted 4.0 innings with five earned, six hits and four walks.

Milwaukee will go with Julio Teheran for the Saturday start. Teheran is 1-2 with a 1.56 ERA in three starts this year. He’s got 10 Ks in 17.1 innings. Over his career Teheran is 79-79 with a 3.78 ERA in 243 games (239 starts).

The A’s are 15-36 in their last 51 interleague games and 10-25 in their last 35 Saturday games. Oakland is 5-13 in their last 18 in game two of a series.

Meanwhile, the Brewers are 4-1 in their last five in game two of a series and 29-14 in their last 43 interleague games. The under is 14-5 in Milwaukee’s last 19 versus the AL West.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll go with the Brewers in this one. Teheran is just 1-2 over his last three starts but he hasn’t been pitching badly. In that trio Teheran has 17.1 total innings, 14 hits, two walks and three earned runs. In the Friday opener Milwaukee couldn’t get much going on four team hits, and there really wasn’t much offense from either side after the second inning. Milwaukee got hits from only three players, so they’ll have to turn it around on Saturday to even up the series.
