1. Houston Astros +290 (Last week: +230)

The Houston Astros have lost six of their last ten games, and their lead atop the AL West is slimming. Both the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners are right on the Astros’ heels, and the AL West race is going right down to the wire. With less separating the three competing teams down the stretch, the Astros have seen their odds of winning the American League drop from +230 to +290 over the last week.

2. Baltimore Orioles +300 (Last week: +350)

With each passing day in September baseball, the youthful Baltimore Orioles continue to gain valuable experience. They’ve only won five of their last ten games, but they still sit on top of the AL East by 2.5 games over the Tampa Bay Rays. If the Orioles continue as the top dog in the AL East, they’ll also end up as the number one seed in the AL playoff bracket. With that, the O’s have seen their odds move from +350 to +300.

3. Tampa Bay Rays +500 (Last week: +550)

Despite missing a golden opportunity to fully get back in the AL East race, the Tampa Bay Rays couldn’t manage a big series win or a sweep over the weekend against the Orioles. In saying that, the Rays have already locked down a playoff spot and will nab the top wild-card spot in the American League if they’re unable to catch the O’s. Tampa has seen their American League odds rise over the last week from +550 to +500

4. (Tie) Seattle Mariners  +750 (Last week: +650)

Three straight victories for the Seattle Mariners have helped the club get back on track, and they have their biggest series of the year lurking against the Texas Rangers beginning tomorrow. The Mariners trail the Astros by just a half-game in the AL West and are very much alive to make the postseason. Still, the M’s odds of winning the American League fell off over the last week and dropped from +650 to +750

4. (Tie) Texas Rangers +750 (Last week: +650)

After the Texas Rangers swept the Toronto Blue Jays in a four-game series last week, it’s been an up-and-down ride for this group. The Rangers had the chance to solidify their playoff positioning but have been unable to do that. Still, the Rangers have won six of their last ten games overall and are still alive in both the wild-card race and in the AL West. The Rangers’ odds of winning the Pennant did take a dip over the last week from +650 to +750.

4. (Tie) Minnesota Twins +750 (Last week: +950)

The Minnesota Twins have all but locked up the AL Central with a nine-game lead over the Cleveland Guardians. The Twins are slowly starting to kick it into high gear down the stretch and have won six of their last ten games. The third seed in the American League playoff bracket is calling the Twins name, and they’ve once again seen their odds of winning the AL rise over the last week from +950 to +750

7. Toronto Blue Jays +800 (Last week: +1000)

After dropping four straight games to the Texas Rangers to begin last week, the Toronto Blue Jays have strung off five straight victories over the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. With that, the Blue Jays now find themselves in the second wild-card position in the American League. Toronto has posted a 6-4 record over their last ten games and have seen their AL Pennant odds rise from +1000 to +800
